Who is Dr. Ango Fomuso Ekellem?

Rev. Dr. Ango Fomuso Ekellem is an internationally recognized educator, researcher, and visionary leader in Artificial Intelligence and STEM education. With over 16 years of lecturing experience in Robotics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, and Project Management at the University of Applied Sciences Cologne, Germany, she has dedicated her career to bridging the gap between academic theory and practical innovation.

 

Dr. Fomuso Ekellem is married and the proud mother of three sons. She is currently on sabbatical leave, residing in Melissa, Texas USA, with her family. Alongside her academic and research work, she serves as the Coordinator of WAFORD, the Diaspora Arm of the Pan African Writers Association (PAWA), and has published several books across scientific, educational, and literary fields.

Recently honored with the Grand Prize at the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology (TCACC) for their pioneering AI-driven pharmacogenomics research, Dr. Fomuso Ekellem, together with Dr. Lusia Fomuso Michael, the founder of Ask a Pharmacist Africa, continues to be a powerful force in AI implementation and holistic innovation. Her work emphasizes ensuring that Artificial Intelligence serves humanity through ethical, inclusive, and purpose-driven applications.

She also serves as a peer reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, contributing her expertise to advancing global AI scholarship. Her research publications can be found on Google Scholar.

As the CEO of Ask a Pharmacist Africa and the founder of the Nuhlis Discovery Movement, she mentors and inspires learners from as young as five years old to advanced university students, nurturing creativity, problem-solving, and technological curiosity. Her mission is clear: to raise a generation of innovators—not just consumers—equipped to lead the future of technology with compassion, intelligence, and vision.
